Adam, you are right about Slaughterhouse Five. Having re-read it twice in the past year, I feel I have standing to agree with you and say that it is a work of genius. And a peculiarly American, matter-of-fact, Yankee, yet mystical Whitman/Thoreau-vian genius. -John
