Publication of the Chinese version of The Emperor’s Bones celebrated at the Beijing Bookworm

To celebrate the publication of the Chinese version of Adam Williams’s novel ‘The Emperor’s Bones’ (now running No 12 on China’s online best sellers’ list), a debate was held at the Beijing Bookworm on Friday 24th May to discuss ‘Fictionalising China’.

Joining Adam were Chinese authors Hong Ying (‘The Daughter of the River’, ‘Concubine of Shanghai’) Chan Chung Koon (‘The Fat Years’ ‘Naked Fate’) and Jiang Fangzhou (‘The Rainbow Rider’, ‘Features of Rumours’). Moderating the debate was Andrew Browne (Pullitzer Prize winning journalist and Head of Dow Jones in China).

Following the event those attending joined a party on the Bookworm Roof.
