The opening of the 8th Bookworm Literary Festival will be marked by three prominent authors from around the world discussing their motivations and reasons for writing. Multi award-winning American novelist David Vann, Man Asian short-listed Pakistani-Canadian author Musharraf Ali Farooqi, and leading Chinese novelist Ren Xiaowen will bring their different perspectives to bear on the most crucial questions for any author. Why and when did they decide to embark on a life in literature? And what do they see as the purpose of their writing?
